PreventechAI
A WhatsApp AI concierge that triages equipment maintenance requests so technical teams only handle what actually needs a specialist.
About the project
PREVENTECHAI was born from a real problem at CEFET-MG: equipment maintenance handled informally via hallway chats or scattered messages. While identified in a university, this bottleneck plagues industries, hospitals, and corporate buildings globally. Organizations struggle with either chaotic informal communication or clunky, inefficient legacy systems. Consequently, highly qualified technicians are overloaded with simple, repetitive requests. Because of this inefficiency, companies are forced to maintain unnecessarily large and costly technical teams just to keep up with minor issues.
PREVENTECHAI changes this reality by introducing an AI concierge via WhatsApp. Instead of navigating confusing legacy systems, users report issues using text, voice, photos, or videos. The AI understands the issue, identifies urgency, and structures the request. At the same time, the system suggests basic troubleshooting actions for simpler problems, allowing many low-complexity situations to be solved by users themselves without direct technician intervention.
This approach creates a major operational advantage: the ability to safely reduce the size of the technical team. By filtering out simple issues, PREVENTECHAI drastically reduces unnecessary tickets. Companies can operate with leaner, highly optimized teams focused exclusively on critical problems. This maximizes workforce efficiency and directly lowers payroll and operational costs. Furthermore, centralizing data helps organizations transition to preventive and predictive maintenance models.
Unlike traditional corporate solutions that require training and suffer from low adoption, PREVENTECHAI integrates seamlessly into a tool people use naturally: WhatsApp. Applicable to any facility with physical infrastructure, PREVENTECHAI represents a new way to modernize legacy operations, downsize costs, optimize technical teams, and increase reliability through Artificial Intelligence.
